Tucked away in the Waterberg, approximately 90 minutes drive from Johannesburg, lies Monyane, a small 21ha unspoilt bush farm – created for the sake of simple pleasure and enjoyment for romantic couples and real nature lovers.

From the outset it was our aim to establish "something different". We are indeed fortunate that our guests approve of our efforts in creating a rustic, yet stylish establishment which is ideally suited for those who appreciate absolute silence, tranquility, magnificent views, ruby sunsets and fields of stars. Comments from our visitors book, describe Monyane as "an environment so beautiful and serene, unique and awesome."

Although our little piece of paradise is not a game farm, jackal, warthogs and some of the smaller species antelope such as steenbok and duiker are regularly spotted.

Accommodation consists of the Livingstone and Hemmingway bush suites, which are private and separate from the main house. Each unit is furnished with a queen size bed, fan, radio/cd player, mini bar fridge and mosquito net. The en-suite facilities include a cement bath and enamel basin in the sleeping area, with a separate toilet and outdoor hot water shower attached.

For those guests with an adventurous bent and wanting to experience the bush in the style of early explorers, we offer the "Tenthouse suite", a luxury safari tent perpetuating traditions of an African safari. The tent too has en-suite bathroom and outdoor hot water shower.

All our units also have a small veranda with amazing views of distant mountains and surrounding savanna.

Our sundeck and splash pool is the ideal spot for reading and cooling off, or just finding inspiration in the beauty and sounds of the bush.

Our daily rate is inclusive of a superb breakfast, served on the veranda of the main house, considered to be the most beautiful "dining room" in the area. By prior arrangement, we do serve an optional romantic 3 course dinner, served either on the veranda or the dining room cast in a halo of a constellation of candles.

As we are situated off the beaten track, no credit card facilities are available. Television and internet reception is also poor and therefore not available.

Other activities, all within 20 minutes drive from our farm include:
Quad bike trails/rides, game rehabilitation centre, crocodile farm, hot water springs, game drives, horse riding, fishing, spa treatments, paintball and golf.
