the Hartbeespoortdam surrounded by the Magalies Mountains.
Ponciana Guesthouse is a brand new, highly luxurious establishment with 5
differently themed rooms, all romantic and exclusively decorated according to
typical South African settings. We host our guests in Afrikaans, English,
German, French and Dutch. Belgian hospitality combined with a delicious
champagne buffet breakfast in the morning while enjoying a fantastic view and
quality service makes Ponciana Guesthouse the place to stay.
The 3 spacious en-suite rooms (Sea View, Secret Garden and Vineyard) and 2
suites (Ponciana Suite and Wild Bush Suite) are the combination of the true
African feeling and high European luxury standards. All our rooms have Queen
size beds, air-conditioning (hot&cold), mini-fridge, hairdryer, tea&coffee
facilities, 22 channels DSTV/DVD player, digital safe, built-in cupboards and
guest amenities. All bathrooms have toilet, wash stands, rain-adjustable showers
and heater-fans... All rooms also have private entrances and terrace.
The Ponciana Suite (Honeymoon suite) has a King size bed with tempur mattresses
and adjustable bedframe, an all-surround cinema system and lounge seats in the
room. The bathroom has a special massage shower, corner bath and a separate
toilet. From the big private terrace with deck chairs you can enjoy the most
beautiful African sunsets.
The Wild Bush Suite is our family room (up to 5 people) with 2 separate bedrooms
(one Queen-sized bed, double-bed and single-bed) separate toilet, a lounge
corner in the room and a private terrace with view of the dam.
Relax by the big swimming pool in a lovely garden or drink a cocktail while
relaxing in our patio-lounge. Other facilities include our private gym-room with
infra-red sauna and professional equipment, a unique 38° Hot Spring Jacuzzi with
39 jets and special neck-and back massage and the Highlander Bar with pool
table, darts and a wide range of Belgian and local beers and wines - the
ingredients for a perfect holiday or break away. On special request lunch or
dinner can be served. Sometimes we organise special evenings: European evenings
with typical dishes made in the pizza oven or a typical outside South African
'braai'. High security and secured parking on the premises. To ensure the rest
and quiet for our guests and neighbours children +12 are welcome and no pets are
allowed.
We offer conference facilities for up to 17 people. The conference room is very
private and is equipped with projection screen, flip board and fax facilities
(overhead projector on request). Conference packages on request.
Every month we have special packages with activities in the area such as
micro-flights, game reserves, hot-air ballooning, Day Spa and body treatments,
horse-riding tours, hiking, quad bike tours or steam train trips.
Airports shuttles on request and with our travel agency Pongoa Travel we also
arrange guided day trip tours in the area.
Things to do: Mountainbike and hiking in the Magalies Mountains, Pilanesberg (Big 5) and Barokalalo National Park, Sun City, fishing, sailing, water-and jetskiing, different Art galleries around the dam, Cradle of Human Kind, Hot-Air Balloon trips, Welwitschia Craft Market and Chameleon Village, playing Golf, Magalies Meander Route, Wild Cheetah Park and Elephant Sanctuary, Snake and Animal Park, Lions and Rhino-reserve and Sterkfonteincaves, Hartbeespoort Dam Aquarium and much more!!
Ponciana Guesthouse is very accessible as Pretoria is situated 28 km South East,
OR Tambo Jo'burg is 80 km and Lanseria Airport is only 25 min and is ideal to
continue your travel schedule to Cape Town. Pelindaba/Necsa
and Gerotek Test Circuit are at only 10 minutes. Pilanesberg National Park (Big
5) and Sun City are on 1 hour drive.
