Hidden in the Rooiberg Mountain Range, adjacent to the Malutis and on the outskirts of the Drakensberg, this farm is the site of awe-inspiring sunsets and spectacular views.

As its name suggests, Groenhoek is a green and fertile corner of the countryside and home to an abundance of wildlife and birds. A natural, hollow cave may be seen on the South-eastern side of this farm. While night-time surrounds its fertile valleys with starlight only found in fairy tales.

As no hunting is permitted, a wide variety of game and birds can be viewed in their natural habitats.

Dona Dam, at the entrance of the farm, as well as two other dams host a variety of water fowl and birds, proving popular sites for bird-watching enthusiasts. The wide variety of birds in the tree tops add to the sound and glory of the valleys.

Being surrounded by mountains at a high altitude (1835m), a cooler then normal climate is experienced. The occasional snow on the mountain tops in winter offers an extraordinarily beautiful view. The rain fall average is between 800mm and 1200mm per annum, allowing for a greener territory and a perfect escape from bustling city life.

An ancient hollow cave (70m wide by 50m high by 40m deep) on the South-Eastern side of the farm is an example of millions of years of natures elements actively working together.

Brilliantly dark skies are responsible for displaying magnificent stars, constellations, milky way and satellites. The full moon, on the other hand, astonishes with gigantic silhouettes of the mountains.

Ha Lelapa (Sleeps 10)
Beautiful self catering farmhouse. 5 Separate rooms, perfect for large family and or two families/group of friends out for the weekend! House looks over stunning garden and view. Open plan - kitchen with dining room and lounge with DStv. Stove with oven, microwave and fridge/freezer. 3x Bathrooms - showers toilet and basins. Braai facilities on stoop with splendid view of the mountains. All bedding and towels supplied.

Dilomong (Sleeps 8)
Log cabin on stilts with fireplace and large stoop. Two en suite bedrooms (double and single bed in each) with glass doors onto stoop. Double bed sleeper couch in lounge. Bath rooms - corner bath with shower, basin and separate toilet. Kitchen equipped with four plate stove and oven, microwave, fridge with freezer. Own braai lapa. All bedding and towels supplied.

Majweng (Sleeps 5)
Log cabins on stilts with fireplaces. Romantic open plan design - kitchen, dining nook, lounge and bedroom. Double bed, single bed and double sleeper couch (Chinese futon). Four plate stove, microwave and fridge. Bath room - luxury corner bath with shower, hand basin and separate toilet. Own braai lapa. All bedding and towels supplied.

Lefikeng (Sleeps 5)
Log cabins on stilts with fireplaces. Romantic open plan design - kitchen, dining nook, lounge and bedroom. Double bed, single bed and double sleeper ouch (Chinese futon). Four plate stove, microwave and fridge. Bath room - luxury corner bath with shower, hand basin and separate toilet. Own braai lapa. All bedding and towels supplied.
