Overlooking the 13th green of Westlake Golf Club, renowned for its friendly
welcome to visiting golfers, Greenkeeper Lodge offers luxurious self-catering
accommodation with a spectacular mountain view. Situated in the quiet leafy
suburb of Lakeside, adjacent to an unspoilt wetland reserve and on the edge of
Constantia Valley famous for its winemaking, it provides a tranquil getaway for
2-3 people.
Greenkeeper Lodge comprises a spacious, self-contained apartment on the first
floor of the main dwelling with private access and safe parking. The large
double bedroom is airy and light with French doors opening onto a small balcony
and a wonderful mountain vista. The top quality extra-length beds, configured
either as a kingsize or as two singles, are fitted with fine linen for your
comfort. A spacious ensuite bathroom has a generously large bath and shower
cubicle and its own view of the golf course.
The open-plan living room includes a well-equipped kitchenette with a
double-door fridge, a dining table and a TV area with a sofa which can double as
an extra bed. This opens onto a balcony where an outdoor table and chairs make
it a delightful spot for an alfresco breakfast or a sundowner. The changing mood
of the mountain as a backdrop to the quiet procession of golfing fourballs
interspersed with birdlife activity creates a peaceful scene.
A salt-water swimming pool and loungers are situated in a sunny part of the
garden and are available to guests.
We provide:

Wireless internet connection.
Linen and towels; swimming towels are available on request.
Tea and coffee, plus some basics such as oil, condiments and spices.
Soaps, shower gel and body cream.
Storage for bulky golfbags and luggage on the connecting landing.
A weber/barbecue is available on request.
Heaters and electric blankets in winter.
The apartment is serviced once a week and clean towels provided every 4 days.
Laundry facilities are available by arrangement and can be accessed
independently.
Car hire can be arranged at competitive rates.
Golf bookings can be pre-arranged to avoid disappointment in busy periods

Location
Greenkeeper Lodge is out of the clamour of the city but within easy reach of
iconic tourist attractions such as Kirstenbosch (15 mins), Table Mountain and
The Victoria and Albert Waterfront (25 mins). The airport is 30 mins away. Close
by (5-10 mins) are 3 premier golf courses, Westlake, Steenberg and Clovelly, as
well as the Constantia Valley Wine Route. A wide range of excellent restaurants
and shops are within easy reach, as are the motorways. On the doorstep is
Muizenberg, its warmer water and regular rollers an attraction for swimmers and
surfers alike, and the picturesque coastal road invites further exploration of
the quaint villages of St James, Kalk Bay, Simon's Town, each with
its own character and atmosphere. Beyond, Cape Point Reserve beckons... The list
of things to do and see in and around Cape Town is legendary and Greenkeeper
Lodge is a wonderful base from which to experience your dream holiday.
