Glenfinnan Guest House overlooks the town and lagoon of Langebaan, only an
hour and a half from Cape Town.
The lagoon is in a proclaimed nature reserve and stretches 17km from north to
south with a shoreline steeped in history.
Situated in the centre of the town, just a 5 minute walk from the beach,
restaurants and shops, we offer tranquility to the discerning traveller and a
warm home from home atmosphere.
Glenfinnan is ideally situated for visits to the National Park and surrounding
West Coast attractions. In addition to safe bathing beaches, the lagoon is a
water sport paradise for windsurfing, kite surfing, kayaks, hobiecats, angling,
and waterskiing.
The Flower Season in August and September transforms the area into a botanical
paradise unique in the world. However, the
West Coast National Park is an all year round experience.
Visit the Fossil Park to learn more about the prehistoric Lagoon, or Khwa ttu,
the San Culture and Education Centre.
Travel the West Coast Wine Route (the samples are divine) and enjoy the olive
products, using Langebaan as your base, or just explore the surrounding
countryside and West Coast villages.
In the evening, relax in one of the local restaurants, which offer a variety of
delicious fare, especially seafood.
