Glen Etive is an historic family farm which has been in the Scott Family for
over 125 years. Neil and Wendy are the current owners and will be your friendly
and hospitable hosts who would love to share their beautiful world with you. Glen Etive is about 3 hours drive from Port Elizabeth and East London and about
2 hours drive from Grahamstown.
Glen Etive Cottage is 50 m from the main family homestead. The cottage is
self-catering or meals can be arranged on request. The cottage is set in a
beautiful park-like garden situated in the majestic mountains of the Winterberg
at an altitude of 1500m. The cottage has 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, one of
which is en-suite, a spacious dining room and lounge area with a fire place and
a fully equipped kitchen. There are heaters and hot blankets and hot water
bottles for the chilly winter nights.The cottage is serviced daily so you can
have a complete break. Baby sitters can be arranged on request. Braai facilities
are available.
Glen Etive is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle. There is
no TV or internet and no cellphone reception, just pure peace and quiet.
Glen Etive is a working farm which produces quality natural beef, lamb and wool.
We also grow raspberries and peonies.

Beside the normal daily activities there are loads of other attractions on the
farm and surroundings

- Hiking the Winterberg Mountain (third highest peak in the Eastern Cape)
- Cradock Mountain Zebra Park - about 120km away
- Fly fishing - there are dams nearby where you can fly fish for trout or
the Thrift Dam is about an hours drive - it is becoming very well known as a
good fishing venue.
