The purpose of listing activities on WhereToStay.co.za is to encourage visitors to explore areas of Southern Africa that they normally wouldn't visit,
by showing them good reasons in the form of pictures and information.
If you run an interesting activity and would like some great exposure and ultimately extra business, then subscribing to WhereToStay.co.za
makes great business sense.
So, who can get listed?
We have a few simple rules...
- No tour operators - only owners of the activity
- All activities must be open to daily visitors / tourists
- Each page will be dedicated to one activity (except, for example, whale-watching and bare-handed great white shark wrestling which
can be listed on the same page). Fly fishing and bird watching will not feature on the same page as these will be listed in separate
categories.
- Each activity will be dedicated to one province only. Even if the activity overlaps into other provinces (e.g. 4x4 adventures or hot
air ballooning. Usually, where the activity starts or where it is based would be the relevant province. Should you wish to be listed
in more than one province, it would be treated as a separate subscription with information and pictures relevant to that province.
However, we will activate a link between the two pages.
- Activity owners who offer accommodation on their premises may not register unless they have registered their own accommodation on www.wheretostay.co.za. There will be links between the activity and accommodation adverts.
If the application for accommodation on WhereToStay.co.za is declined, then the activity application may still be considered.
Why So Strict?
By creating pages which cover just one activity we are giving the viewer 8 photos and at least 300 words describing the activity.
The visitor will then be able to make an informed decision whether to contact you. One picture and one sentence is just not enough.
Creating a page which concentrates on one activity stands a better chance of being found on the search engines. Having many activities
on one page simply dilutes the importance of each activity, and will perform poorly on the search engines, so people won't find the page
in the first place.
Yes, there are "grey areas", so please fill in the form below, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
What does it cost?
The first year is completely free - no hidden costs. We don't even take a commission!
