Situated in the lush, northern suburb of Athlone in Pietermaritzburg, our Bed & Breakfast is ideally located close to a number of private schools, shopping malls and hospitals. We are ten minutes from the CBD and Hilton and twenty minutes from Midmar Dam and the start of the Midlands Meander.

Our gorgeous "Garden Suites" are tastefully furnished with lovely cottage pieces and comfy beds, duvets and throws. Our main "Garden Suite" is well appointed with a private entrance, garden and verandah. It is a very large suite which consist of a double bedroom (King size bed or two singles) with modern en suite bathroom (with bath). The suite also has a den or small lounge where guests can watch television (m-net and DVD player available). A Kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster allows guests to prepare light or pre-prepared meals. The den can sleep another adult and children can be accommodated on mattresses.

Our second garden suite or "Snug" is nestled in the garden, separate from the main house. It is a smaller suite situated on two levels and consists of two single beds and a pull out bed for a child. It has an en suite bathroom with shower as well as a small kitchenette. The room has a television and DVD player.

We always endeavor to provide a warm and friendly environment and personalized service for our guests who can relax on the beautiful verandah or lounge at our sparkling 15 meter pool. We provide a scrumptious continental breakfast, but a cooked breakfast and hearty supper can be arranged at an additional cost.

We are happy to accommodate children and have lovely facilities such as a Wendy House, swings and jungle-gym for them to enjoy - although they seem to find great pleasure just exploring the winding paths and interesting creatures in our garden. We are disabled friendly with a ramp and stairs as well as grip rails and hand-showers in our bathrooms -we can provide transport to and from hospitals in our area. We are also pet friendly.

Our city is fondly called "Sleepy Hollow" but we do actually have some wonderful places for tourists to visit which include our beautiful Botanical Gardens, Tala Game Reserve, Birds of Prey, Albert Falls Amble and Lion Park. Guest could visit Howick Falls and go on an adventure on the KarKloof Canopy Tours. We personally recommend exploring the Midlands Meander where one can buy up-market art and crafts as well as enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants along the route. Pietermaritzburg is also only forty-five minutes from Durban and the sea and one and a half hours from the incredible Drakensberg Mountains.
