Luxury B&B in the picturesque village of Ugie at the foot of the
Prentjiesberg, part of the Drakensberg. On route from Cape Town to Durban, the
R56, this will be your most peaceful stay.
A variation of rooms are on offer to cater for your needs. 6 Rooms with two
single beds each with kitchenette - microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and
utensils - and bathroom with shower. Each room leading into a beautiful,
peaceful garden. Braai facilities on offer. These rooms have desk and plug for
the business person. One garden flat cnsists of two bedrooms, lounge, fully
equipped kitchen and bathroom.
All rooms are serviced daily and laundry is done daily free of charge if you
visit us longer than one night.
In the main building three rooms each with own bathroom - either with bath or
shower - and a fridge with kettle, lead off our cozy lounge with huge fireplace
for warm winter evenings.
All rooms are fresh, neat and comfortable with heaters, electric blankets, DStv.
Breakfast is on offer every morning. Dinner is available on request and a
honesty bar available.
Secure, undercover parking available for all vehicles. We are pet lovers so your
pets are welcome on prior arrangement. We have humid summers with thunderstorms
and cool evenings. Winter is very cold with frost in the morning and lovely
sunny days.
On offer in Ugie and area:
Wild trout fishing on private dams and rivers. We host a ladies fly-fishing
event every year in September.
A privately owned tractor and agricultural equipment museum. Maybe one of the
biggest collections on the country.
Beautiful rock formations, scenic drives and 4x4 routes into the mountains and
to Tiffedell Resort. The Resort and Rhodes are only two hours drive away for day
visitors.
Birdwatching, san rock art and dinosaur footprints on privately owned farms for
you to visit on prior arrangement.
