Fish eagle river lodge lies in the heart of the beautiful Reibeek valley,
nestling on the banks of the flowing berg river. This luxurious accommodation is
set in landscaped gardens, with the imposing Elandskloof mountain range as a
stunning backdrop, to this tranquil setting. Only 45 minutes away from cape
town, this working olive and grape farm is ideally situated for visiting the
quaint Reibeek Kasteel, with its lovely restaurants and shops, just 5 minutes
away. The historic towns of wellington and Tulbach, are about 15 minutes, and
don't forget the scenic wine lands of Stellenbosch are all
easily accessible from here.
Many of our guests are astounded by the prolific bird life that can be seen,
including our very own nesting pair of fish eagles, there haunting call is truly
memorable. If you feel like a spot of exercise, why not take one of our canoes
and cruise down the berg river, if you like fishing, bring a rod or two, or just
simply enjoy the lush gardens, fresh country air, walks on the farm, or just
chill out by the pool, the choice is yours.
Accommodation comprises of five spacious and luxurious double suites, all fully
air conditioned, equipped with tv/dvd, bar fridge, and tea /coffee making
facilities. Three of these superbly furnished rooms have there own separate
entrances, and their own private balcony, overlooking the gardens, river, and
the stunning mountain range, our largest suite can sleep up to six adults. full
English breakfast is served on our large veranda, so if you are looking to
escape the hustle and bustle of city life, come and explore the beautiful
Riebeek valley, or just relax, in this haven of tranquility
