The Estuary Country Hotel located on the KwaZulu Natal South Coast a couple
of kilometres short of Port Edward and a few sandy steps from the Idyllic Silver
Beach. The Hotel is found within the secure Estuary Country Estate. The hotel
was originally built in 1941 as a Manor House in the Cape-Dutch style for a
wealthy family. It has been cautiously transformed into a beautiful and private
Hotel, Restaurant, Spa & conference centre.
Our luxurious bedrooms are designed with comfort and elegance in mind. Wake up
to the beautiful views of the estuary and smells and sounds that are truly
African. We offer a total of 44 en-suite bedrooms, all air conditioned with
private balconies. All our rooms have been recently refurbished. We are able to
offer family rooms which comprise two queen size beds. Our exclusive honeymoon
suite is a must for newlyweds.
The Fish Eagle Restaurant has a reputation for offering the diner an experience
second to none. Our head chef, Kyle Norris is renowned for his ability to
produce fabulous cuisine and will take you along an unforgettable taste
experience. Our menus emphasise the goodness of fresh, natural foods, carefully
prepared and beautifully presented.
With exquisite sea and estuary views, rolling lawns and beautiful gardens, the
Estuary Hotel provides the perfect setting for the wedding of a lifetime. We are
able to cater for up to 250 people in our Ubuntu Function room. Guests will be
able to enjoy the dining experience, relax in the tranquil settings, celebrate
your marriage with a party and then sleep well in our indulgent and luxurious
bedrooms.
Our conference room offers delegates a comfortable naturally lit work area,
helping you to focus on business whilst away from the day to day stresses of the
workplace. It's easy to make decisions, develop strategies or motivate the team
when based in the right environment. Our conference facilities are fully air
conditioned and can accommodate up to 150 delegates. The beautiful natural
surrounds lends itself to teambuilding and leisure activities.
We have developed a fully integrated Beauty Spa, managed by an internationally
trained highly professional therapist. This tranquil haven offers the guest
massages, body therapies, unisex manicures and pedicures and facial treatments.
Close proximity to 7 top golf courses including the Wild Coast and San Lameer
result in the Estuary being called the "Golfer's Jewel". Our golf packages can
be tailor made to suit individual or group requirements and include Dinner, Bed
and breakfast as well as all rounds with carts.
There is wide range of activities on our door step. We have our own swimming
pool at the hotel which you can relax beside on lazy afternoons or the protected
Silver Beach is a mere 5 minute walk through the estate. The Wild Coast sun
casino is a short drive away. Other activities include scuba diving, surfing,
angling, mountain biking, horse riding, cultural tours and the list goes on. We
