At Elephants Drift our mission is to give you an authentic, high-quality and
meaningful African Safari experience in our vast unfenced wilderness.
You may choose between our fully-catered or self-catering options for 4 to 20
people. You may also book either of our camps for your group exclusively at very
reasonable rates.
Elephants Drift Game Lodge is effectively in the Kruger National Park, as it has
a long unfenced common boundary with Kruger. It has the advantage, however, of
not being restricted by the many rules and regulations which apply to visitors
to the Park itself. We offer spectacular, guided Big 5 game viewing in open
safari vehicles, nightdrives, or if you would prefer to walk in the wild, this
can also be arranged. You can either stay in our classic Main Camp or our
beautiful rustic tented bush camp. Our nearest town is Hoedspruit in Limpopo
Province with its airport close by.
Accommodation
Elephants Drift Main Camp is charmingly arranged around a large central lawn
under huge shady trees alongside a riverbed and waterhole. It was completely
refurbished in 2010.
The camp sleeps a maximum of 10 persons and facilities include:
- 4 large en suite safari chalets with private verandahs and secluded bush
views sleeping 1- 4 people depending on the needs of your group
- 1 large en suite family chalet with secluded bush views and private
verandah sleeping up to 4 people
- Ceiling fans
- Library/TV room
- Lounge
- Bar & Dining area
- Covered barbeque area overlooking the river waterhole
- Swimming pool
Cooking is done in the well-equipped kitchen or on the open fire and guests
usually eat around the fire or in the open thatched dining area.
Your guide and manager's house is nearby with a high-speed internet connection
and telephone.
The newly built and picturesque Parrot Tree Tented Camp is situated in one of
the more remote and most beautiful parts of our wilderness property.
The camp sleeps a maximum of 10 persons and facilities include:
- 3 two person tents
- 1 family safari tent which accommodates up to four people
- All tents are on decks on the edge of a cliff overlooking a magical
riverbed and waterhole
- Kitchen
- Outdoor living area under the trees
- Starlight showers
Activities
- Guided Game viewing in open game drive vehicles
- Guided Game viewing walks (by arrangement)
- Guided Nightdrives
- Bush dinners and breakfasts in the wild
Children
At Elephants Drift we love kids... however, those under the age of 16 years are
not allowed to walk in the bush for their own safety and that of the group.
