Elands River Lodge is a self-catering establishment situated on the edge of
Machadodorp next to the Elands River and Machado-Centenary Dam. We offer seven
rustic units ( half log wooden cabins) capable of accommodating between 18-20
people in total. All units have their own braai areas, are fully fitted, and
have DSTV with most channels.
We give our guests absolute privacy in very relaxed surroundings, a lush garden
with abundant water features teeming with birdlife is what sets us apart. A
small fishing pond ,well stocked is available on site for novices to practice
their skills before moving on to the river and dam for some serious fishing
(bass, trout, and carp ). We also have a solar-heated splash pool should you
feel like cooling down.
Machadodorp itself is much like Dullstroom, with three pubs within walking
distance of each other, all boasting big screens for those important rugby
events, locals are friendly and the area is very safe. Although most of our
guests prefer cooking their own food or braaing, very good restaurant 1km (two
blocks) away.
