Dunromin is in Shaka's Rock, a quiet spot on the north
coast of Kwa Zulu Natal. The cottage is self-catering and consists of one large
bed/sitter with fully-equipped kitchen/dining area and separate bedroom.
In the lounge area is a divan which converts into either 2 separate beds or
can be made up as a queensize bed - suitable for 2 children, teens or an adult
couple.
The bathroom with over-bath-shower leads off the passage so is convenient
for either main bedroom or those bedding-down in the living area.
From the sheltered front patio a spiral staircase leads up to an open-air
rooftop braai area with magnicifent sea views.
The entrance courtyard is fully walled with an electronic security gate
which provides safe open-air parking for several cars.
Dunromin enjoys the best of both worlds - a mere 250 metres
(easy walking distance) from Shaka's Rock beach with its beautiful tidal pools
and unspoilt by the hurley-burley of its near neighbour, Ballito, yet no more
than a few minutes from excellent shopping facilities and restuarants. Plus,
within a 20-minute radius south are the many delights of Durban and Umhlanga,
Sibaya Casino, numerous golf courses, fascinating Indian temples and other
places of interest.
An hour north is the historic town of Eshowe with its Old Fort museum, the
world famous Vukani weaving collection, the unique forest boardwalk and
internationally-acclaimed birding route while, just beyond, one can explore
Shakaland, the Zulu battlefields, St. Lucia marine reserve, Hluhluwe and
Mfolozi game reserves.
