Mike and Jenny Barber invite you to stay in their home away from home set in peaceful surroundings in central
Durban North.
We have five air conditioned rooms each with showers en suite, DStv and WiFi, bar fridge and
microwave, tea/coffee facilities. Secure Parking; Swimming Pool and Braai facilities are available for guests. There is a choice between Full English or Continental Breakfast.

The other three rooms in a wing of the main house have their own entrances and
can be combined into a family suite. They have access to a patio next to the
pool.
You will find us on the M12, which is also a bus route to the City and
Umhlanga Rocks, within easy distance of all facilities. A varied selection of restaurants and takeaways are in the immediate area.
For Business we are 10 minutes from Umhlanga and
La Lucia Ridge, the International Conference Centre and the City Centre and less than half an hour from
King Shaka International Airport.
For Leisure we are conveniently close to the
Gateway Theatre of Shopping with its cinema complex, climbing wall, wave pool and entertainment area as well as the Suncoast and Sibaya casinos. As for the famed KwaZulu Natal Beaches we have Umhlanga or the Golden Mile on our doorstep with Umhloti and Ballito a short drive away.
For the nature lover there are trails at the Hawaan Lagoon at Umhlanga or the nearby Virginia Bush Nature Reserve as well as an informative visit to the
Natal Sharks Board.
For the sports lover there are four golf courses within ten minutes with another three half an hour away. Parkhill and Northlands Bowling greens are within walking distance and a tennis club just around the corner.
Moses Mahbida Soccer Stadium, the ABSA Rugby Stadium home of the Natal Sharks and Kingsmead Cricket Stadium are all very close.
Sight seeing tours can be arranged to the Umfolosi Game reserve to see one of the Big Five or a trip to one nearby can be combined with a visit to an African Cultural Village. If the timing is right why not chase the Sardines during the annual
Sardine Run or catch a boat at Umhlanga and ride with the dolphins.
