Dovedale Holiday Cottage
This charming renovated 110 year old historic cottage is situated on the
mountainside overlooking the Glencairn vlei area and False Bay, within walking
distance to the beach. It is 4kms from the famous Boulders Penguin Colony and 20
minutes drive to the Cape Point Nature Reserve. There are a number of beautiful
swimming beaches in the immediate area. Is a ±45 minutes drive from Capetown and
±1 hour from the Stellenbosch and Franchoek wine farms.

- Boulders Beach, to visit the famous Jackass Penguins colony.
- Kalk Bay: fresh fish market and antique shops or the Navy museum and
Just Nuisance tales in the historic Simons Town.
- Scenic train ride from Simon’s town to Cape Town (“Hop on, hop off”
tourist ticket - R30/person/day).
- Nature walks, in Silvermine Nature Reserve enjoy the beautiful flora and
fauna that is so unique to the Cape.
- Constantia Valley, the home of Groot Constantia, Alphen and Uitsig wine
estates.
- Hout Bay, travel along the scenic Chapmans Peak, to visit the World of
Birds or take a boat trip to Seal Island, flea market Sundays.
- Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens to enjoy beautiful summer outdoors
concerts.
- Stellenbosch & Paarl for wine tasting on their world famous wine estate
or Ceres for its well renowned fruits.

walking distance offering a restaurant, pub and local entertainment facilities.
