Courtenay's Country Cottage is situated on a 25 acre working farm in Honeydew just North of Johannesburg. This charming log-cabin style cottage is surrounded on two sides by bountiful vegetable gardens and looks out over treed paddocks.
The 3 bedroom cottage sleeps six, with two queen size double rooms and one twin singles room. An open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area provide ample living space, opening out on to a wooden deck. The cottage is furnished in simple country elegance, in soothing soft whites, blues and yellows.
Courtenay's is rented as Self-Catering accommodation and has a well equipped modern kitchen area. There are many restaurants for lunch and dinner within 20 minutes drive, ranging for elite fine cuisine to comfortable family eateries.
Courtenay's is well suited to visiting business people, families and couples. Courtenay's is very popular with exhibitors and attendees of the many shows, events and exhibitions held at the nearby Coca-Cola Dome. Being convenient to Wilgeheuvel, Flora Clinic,
Olivedale and Helen Joseph Hospitals the cottage is well placed for visiting friends and relatives. Courtenay's is on the Beyers Naude corridor leading out to the Cradle of Mankind. There are many wedding and function venues on Beyers Naude.
The first maize maze in Africa and designed by the world's leading maze designer, Adrian Fisher from the UK, has been constructed on the farm along with a number of other mazes and puzzles - Honeydew A-maize-ing Mazes. Other local attractions include the Maropeng Cradle of Mankind, the Lion Park, the Rhino Park,
Roodepoort Country Club, Eagles Nest and Randpark Ridge.
