Cheerio Trout Fishing Lodge is situated in the beautiful Cheerio Valley,Pietersburg and Tzaneen and is an excellent stop over to the Kruger National Park and other game parks.
Trout Fishing
Trout fishing is offered in three dams on the property and at an owned property on the Letaba River. Fishing can also be arranged in the waters of the local Trout Fishing Association. Forest, riverside and garden walks can be undertaken from the property and hiking, mountain bike, horse and 4x4 trails are in close proximity.
Adventure & Camping
Our property on the Letaba River provides both adventure seekers and nature lovers with a host of outdoor activities. There is quad biking, white water tubing, kloofing (canyoning),abseiling, mountain biking, birding, hiking,
fishing and paintball. There is a campsite for those who would like to be on
site.

Grandpas
Grandpa's cottage comprises a main bedroom with double bed, en-suite dressing
room and bathroom with bath, a second bedroom with 2 single beds, a second
bathroom with shower and basin, a separate toilet with basin, a fully equipped
kitchenette, a lounge with fireplace, a dining area, a reading/relaxing room
leading on to covered back veranda and private garden, a covered front patio and
a new large deck overlooking the swimming pool and braai facilities. The cottage
has DSTV.
Mountain View
Mountain View cottage has a main bedroom with double bed with bathroom (bath) en
suite, a mezzanine with 4 single beds, a second bathroom comprising shower,
toilet and basin, a fully equipped kitchen/dining area, a lounge with fireplace,
a patio and braai facilities The cottage has DSTV.
Beefwood
Beefwood cottage has a main bedroom with two single beds and a bathroom en-suite
(shower), a second bedroom with double bed, an adjacent bathroom with bath,
basin, toilet and shower, a separate toilet with basin, a fully equipped
kitchen/dining area, a lounge with 2 sleeper couches and fireplace, a covered
veranda and patio with braai facilities The cottage has DSTV.
Protea
Protea cottage has a downstairs bedroom with a double bed, an upstairs (steep
stairs) bedroom with 2 single beds leading onto a deck which leads into the
garden, a bathroom with bath, toilet and basin, a second bathroom with shower,
toilet and basin, a fully equipped kitchen/dining room, a large lounge with two
sleeper couches and fireplace and a patio with braai. The cottage has DSTV.
Stone cottage
Stone cottage has a bedroom with 2 single beds, a bathroom en-suite with bath,
shower, toilet and basin, a fully equipped kitchenette/ dining area, a lounge
with couch, chairs and fireplace, garden and braai facilities. The cottage has
DSTV.

Forest Cottage
Forest cottage has a bedroom with double bed, en-suite dressing room and
bathroom with bath, a second bedroom with 2 single beds en-suite dressing room
and bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchen/ dining area, a lounge with
fireplace and 3 piece lounge suite, a large deck (portion covered) with doors
from lounge and bedrooms, a private garden and braai facilities The cottage has

Rainbow cottage
Rainbow cottage has a bedroom with 2 single beds, an adjacent bathroom with
shower, toilet and basin, a fully equipped kitchenette/ dining area, a lounge
with fireplace, a large deck with entrances to the lounge and bed room, a
private garden and braai facilities. The cottage has DSTV.
Waratah cottage
Waratah cottage has a bedroom with 2 single beds, a bathroom en-suite with
shower, toilet and basin, a fully equipped kitchenette/dining area, a lounge
with couch, chairs and fireplace, a deck with entrances to both the lounge and
bed room, a private garden and braai facilities. The cottage has DSTV.
Additional Information:
- Recreational facilities include trout fishing, swimming pool, tennis court and table tennis, birding, walks and mountain biking. Tennis racquets are available for hire. Please bring your own swimming towels.
- No pets are allowed.
- 50% of total accommodation cost is required as a deposit to confirm your reservation.
- Booking in is after 14.00 and chalets are to be vacated by 10.00. Alternate times will gladly be accommodated where possible.
