Casa Torta is a luxury self-catering cottage, nestled amongst palm trees and
overlooking the beautiful islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago, Mozambique.
The cottage has one bedroom with a King Size bed, mosquito net and ceiling fan,
en-suite bathroom with shower and 2 private balconies upstairs. The large
balcony off the front of the property enjoys panoramic beach views, which can be
enjoyed whilst relaxing on our beautiful daybeds, while the smaller balcony at
the back of the property overlooks a small wetland and provides a wonderful
respite from the wind on windy days.
Downstairs, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, open-plan entertainment area
and cloakroom which leads out to your own private swimming pool. Casa Torta has
70m of beach frontage and offers direct access to the beach.
The cottage is serviced daily and laundry facilities can be provided on request.
There is a CD player in the kitchen and loungers by the pool. A charcoal BBQ is
also provided.
The cottage has only recently been completed and has been decorated to a high
standard.
The property has a safe and on-site security. Secure parking for 2 cars is
provided.
What about phones and internet?
The house is not on the phone, but mobile (or cell) phones work from inside
the house.
With white sandy beaches, tropical islands, incredible horse riding, rich marine
life and extensive coral reefs Vilankulo and the magical islands of the Bazaruto
Archipelago are commonly regarded as the finest coastal area in Africa.
The idyllic Archipelago of Bazaruto consist of four islands, Bazaruto, Benguerra,
Magaruque and Santa Carolina. To swim and dive in the clear limpid waters of the
Indian Ocean next to the protected coral reefs rich in rare and beautiful
vegetation and marine species, is an unforgettable experience.
Do I need a car?
Recommended. It will help enjoy your stay to the full. Either bring your own
or hire one.
What's the town like?
The town, with friendly people and a lively atmosphere, offers the perfect
base from which to explore the picturesque Bazaruto Archipelago and the Bazaruto
National Park.
The town has a couple of good restaurants as well as a few more economical
options. Casa Torta is self-catering, so you might want to make use of these
local eateries. There are also a few local bars if you’re looking for nightlife.
Can I shop in the village?
The town can cater to all your basic requirements like food, drink, banks,
pharmacy, etc. There is also a large local market and the obvious curio stalls.
What's the weather like?
In the North and along the coast, the climate is tropical and humid, in the
interior, the South and in the Province of Tete, tropical dry and in Gaza,
tropical arid. The rainy season is between October and April, with temperatures
between 27 degrees and 29 degrees and the dry season between May and September
with temperatures between 18 degrees and 20 degrees.
