BUSHBUCK ROCK VALLEY
Private Conservation Reserve Accommodation
in Lephalale, Limpopo, South Africa
Bushbuck Rock Valley reserve is set in the magnificent Waterberg Mountains,
between the towns Vaalwater and Lephalale (Ellisras), and is en-route to Martins
Drift (Botswana Border Crossing). The reserve is approximately 3 hours from
north Pretoria and is in a 'malaria-free' area. The lodge is built deep in the
bush, overlooking the Tamboti River gorge. This is an idyllic natural setting
where you are surrounded by the Waterberg bushveld, which offers peace and
tranquility. The lodge is open to wildlife (not fenced) and is ideally placed
for watching birds.
Rooms are either self contained (3 rooms) or share communal kitchen (2 rooms).
There are 5 lodge rooms available for weekend guests, however there are 3 other
rooms that can be used for group bookings, please enquire for more information.
Accommodation
Rooms - Buffalo, Cheetah & Duiker - Self contained rooms.
These rooms have en-suite shower room facilities, mini kitchen, private braai (bbq)
boma and private balcony with table and chairs. These rooms are elevated for
views over the river. The mini kitchen is partitioned from the rest of the
bedroom, and contains kettle, toaster, two-hob hotplate, ¾ fridge, and crockery,
cutlery for two people. There is a sink/ drainer located conveniently between
the room and private braai boma, so it can be reached easily from both. Rooms
have all bedding and towels provided and come with fans.
Rooms - Aardvark & Hippo - Shared communal kitchen facilities.
These rooms have en-suite shower room facilities, and private balcony with
chairs. These rooms have views over the pool / river area. There is a large
fully equipped communal kitchen and communal braai boma for use with these
rooms. Rooms have all bedding and towels provided and come with fans.
Activities
Walking, Bird Watching, wildlife viewing from hides, self drive around reserve
(part of the reserve is accessed only with permission, it is 4x4 and not always
available for self drive), tree spotting on the Botanical Trail.
Wildlife
Our wildlife are typical bushveld species, we have abundant bird life, many
mammal species and innumerable reptile and insect species.
Group Bookings
For group bookings the lodge can accommodate a maximum of 24 guests in 9 rooms.
