Bonito Bay situated in the idyllic coconut plantations of Inhambane's Morrungulo
beach, Bonito Bay is a mere stone's throw from the ocean.
Built on an elevated platform overlooking the areas pristine and untouched
beaches, Bonito Bay is a family orientated resort catering for all categories of
tourists. Our facilities include a large bar, restaurant and swimming pool
overlooking the sea. We offer and encourage many pastimes, such deep sea fishing
excursions, advanced scuba facilities, whale watching, dolphin viewing,
paddle-ski hire and many more.
Fishing: Whether you are an avid beach angler or an ambitious deep sea
fisherman, Bonito Bay’s exciting reefs, deep banks and shallow coves offer
exciting opportunities to all.
Scuba: Our onsite partners, Scuba Galaxy, offer a professional scuba service
ranging from training and resort courses to advance dive techniques. We
encourage the family, wives and children to all join in the fun and explore the
wonders of the lush tropical coral reefs of Morrungulo and Sylvia Shoal. We have
recently completed our 3 meter dive training and recreation pool and offer all
beginer courses at our resort.
Accommodation: We offer a wide range of accommodation excluding camping
facilities. We have affordable accommodation for singles, couples groups and
families and also offer private and more exclusive units for groups and larger
families. All our chalets and larger houses are fitted with gas cookers,
fridges, some with freezers and all have comfortable imported mattresses under
mosquito nets ensuring a restful night's sleep. Our smaller Baracas do not have
fridges stoves etc. but do have comfortable beds and mosquito nets.
Restaurant Bar and Pool: Our restaurant serves simple but quality foods,
with all of our meat being imported whilst our seafood is all sourced fresh from
local suppliers. We have a large and friendly bar equipped with satellite TV and
a friendly atmosphere. Enjoy your meal whilst taking in the tranquil ambiance of
the view overlooking the Indian Ocean, or simply sip on your favorite beverage
whilst dipping your feet in our pool or taking a seat at one of our look-out
points.
Mosquito Deterrents: Bonito Bay prides itself on its reputation for
little or no Mosquitoes. Because we leave no standing water and employ a strict
control program, mosquitoes and other irritating insects are few and far
between.
Whilst being a family resort we do accept and encourage all outdoor activities
and welcome jet skis and quad bikes, providing that respect, tolerance, care and
strict safety standards are followed by all. We respect the local maritime laws
and will not allow beach access to vehicles not pulling trailers and quad bikes
via our resort.
