We offer 3 luxury guestrooms decorated with old world charm and all 3 with
en-suite bathrooms. Each suite equipped with DSTV (10 channels), fridge, coffee
facilities, gas heaters in winter and fans in summer. Double doors lead from
each suite onto covered verandah (stoep). Two of the rooms offer a workstation.
Inside the house is a reading-lounge as well as a communal lounge with fireplace
leading out onto a wooden deck and garden.
The guest house is centrally situated and in the main street with safe off-road
parking.
Uniondale offers a few good restaurants –offering lunch and dinner. There are
also beautiful historical buildings - ie: the old watermill and old Bon Accord
hall adjacent to the guest house which was the old movie theatre and is a must
to see!! It is currently used as an interior shop, art gallery and coffee shop.
There are more historical sites to see.
Bird lovers can enjoy watching a few bird species in the garden and even more
when you go hiking or on a scenic drive.
There are lots of activities on offer like hiking, mountain biking, 4x4 trails,
motorcycle rides, quad biking, game viewing and horse riding.
Uniondale is surrounded by beautiful scenic mountain passes like Prince Alfred
pass (en-route to Knysna). Baviaans-, Swartberg- and Meiringspoort. We are on
the main route from Jhb to Knysna and also on the R62 wineroute from Cape Town
to Port Elizabeth.
It is worth visiting this quaint little town!
