Benmore Lodge is situated 4kms from Kei Mouth and 95kms from East London. Each chalet has an enclosed deck overlooking the Great Kei Game reserve and Transkei. Chalets are fully equiped for 6 people. Open plan kitchen has fridge/freezer, microwave, stove and breakfast nook, cutlery supplied. Dining room seats 6 people. Main bedroom has a king size bed or 2 singles, includes built in cupboards, dressing table and full length mirror. Second room had two double bunks and built in cupboards. Linen supplied, must bring your own towels. Bathroom has bath and shower. Chalets are serviced daily. Laundry facilities available. Non-smoking indoors. Each chalet has a portable braai.
Variety of bird life. Nearby facilities (5km) include golf (rated one of the best 9-hole courses in South Africa), bowls, squash, horse riding, absailing, paint ball, fishing, tennis, walks and Hazel Jefferies shell museum. Walkabout tours can be organised in The Great Kei game reserve. Pubs Hotels and restuarants in
Kei Mouth and Morgan Bay. Pub and grub, The Shed, on premises (season and on request). The Shed has undercover braai facilities, guests are welcome to use them in rainy weather. Benmore Lodge has its own mini bus (seats 9) and this is used as a shuttle service to and from the airport at extra cost.
