We have three separate units which can be rented individually or in combinations:
- De Kraal: 2 persons
- De Pondok: 2 persons
- De Stal: 5 persons
- De Pondok and De Stal as one unit: 7 persons
De Kraal
Elegant self catering fully equipped studio cottage - sleeps two
Spacious studio with:
- Two single beds with electric blankets - can be made up as double bed.
- Linen and towels provided.
- Satellite TV - hotel package card
- Fireplace
- Electric heater and under carpet heating.
- Fully equipped modern kitchenette with microwave oven.
- Breakfast/dining area with table and 4 chairs.
- Patio furniture and portable braai (similar to small Weber).
- Washing machine, ironing board and iron.
- Separate bathroom with bath/shower, hot towel rail.
- Off street parking
We regret that no smoking or pets are allowed.
De Pondok
De Pondok is an elegant and spacious cottage which can sleep 2 people and consists of:
- Lounge/dining room (DStv - bring own smart card).
- Fireplace
- En-suite bedroom (full bathroom) with double bed, electric blankets.
- Heated towel rail.
- Linen and towels provided.
- Fully equipped kitchen with table and chairs, microwave oven, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery for 4 people, pots, pan, etc.
- Outside braai with sleeper table and bench.
- Off street parking.
The Pondok has an interleading door with De Stal and the two units can be rented
together to accommodate 7 people.
We regret that no smoking or pets are allowed.
De Stal
De Stal can accommodate a family of five people and consists of a double room with:
- Separate entrance.
- One double and one three quarter bed.
- En-suite bathroom.
- Linen and towels provided.
- Built-in cupboard.
- Heater.
- Bar fridge.
- Double hot plate.
- Microwave.
- Crockery & cutlery.
- Coffee/tea making facilities.
An additional small room with bunk bed which can sleep two people. Rates are R160.00 per person per night and 50% for children.
There is a semi enclosed car port with fold away table and built in seat.
No smoking or pets allowed.
Facilities in and around Dullstroom
Dullstroom is situated on the eastern escarpment �2 hours drive from
Pretoria and Johannesburg. High altitude cool weather in summer and cold in winter. Most pubs and restaurants offer open fires in cold months.
- Fly fishing for trout in municipal dams and about 50 other venues near Dulstroom.
- Horse and pony riding.
- Highlands Crane Group and Escarpment Bird Club.
- Bird of Prey Breeding and Rehabilitation Centre with flying demonstrations.
- Hiking opportunities, e.g. at Dullstroom dams, Anglo-Boer War graves.
- Numerous restaurants and bars.
- Archery and clay pigeon shooting.
- Mampoer distillery in Tonteldoos village.
- Altitude fitness training centre.
- Several art galleries.
- Verloren Valei Nature Reserve with "Wetland of International Importance" status which is open (by appointment) to special interest groups such as birders, orchid societies, butterfly and field trail clubs.
- The area is home to a wealth of wild flowers including ground orchids and the yellow arum lily.
- Day trips to Kruger Park, Pilgrims Rest, Graskop, Sudwala Caves.
