In the heart of the scenic Eastern Highlands, the Bella Rosa Guest house is a
home away from home stop over.
The Bella Rosa Guest House has 12 en-suite rooms many of which contain antique
furniture. Four rooms will be found in the 114 year old Victorian styled
sandstone house. Another four rooms are found in the adjacent white house and a
further four are within the gardens of the guest house. All rooms have
television, DSTV, telephone and tea/coffee facilities. Electric blankets are
provided during the winter months.
The sandstone house also has the dining room where delicious home cooked dinners
are available by arrangement. A full English breakfast is provided. A fully
licenced pub, with fire place for winters, is also on the premises of the
Sandstone house.
The complex is separated from the street behind a devils fork and sandstone
pillar fence.
Plan your getaway with Bella Rosa as your base for visits various areas around
the Eastern Free State or to the impressive Katse Dam in Lesotho. During winter
time go skiing or play in the snow at Afriski, only 130km away. From late
October to early December cherries and asparagus are in season. The Cherry
Festival is also held in Ficksburg the third weekend in November every year.
