Nylstroom), and situated amongst the rocky outcrops of the Northern
Province, Bela Bela Lodge provides the visitors a unique experience this side of
the Kalahari.

executive and corporate conferences.

Accommodation: Bela Bela Lodge offers fully furnished accommodation in 2,
4, 6 and 8-sleeper self-catering units and also 2-bedded rooms with coffee
facilities, mini fridge and a microwave (no cutlery).
All rooms are equipped with Televisions (excluding DSTV - see entertainment).
Self Catering:
- 8 Sleeper:
This unit has 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower and a bath, and
a full equipped kitchen. The main bedroom is en-suit and has a double bed
and a single bed. The second bedroom has 3 single beds and the lounge also
sleeps 2 people.
- 6 Sleeper:
These units have a fully equipped kitchen with all the necessary cutlery and
crockery, a two-plate stove with oven, fridge, microwave, etc.
It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom - 1 bedroom with double bed and the other
bedroom has two single beds. Two more people can sleep in the lounge on
comfortable sleeper couches.
- 4 Sleeper:
This thatched roof rock cottage has 1 room with a double bed, 1 bathroom and
an open-plan living-area/room with 2 single beds. It has a fully equipped
kitchen with all the necessary cutlery/crockery, stove/oven etc, and the
bathroom has a shower.
- 2 Sleeper:
These thatched roof rock cottages have an open-plan room with a double bed,
and the kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary cutlery and
crockery, as well as a fridge, microwave, stove/oven, etc.
Room Only:
- 2 Sleepers:
- We also cater for the weary traveller in double hotel rooms and
rondavels. All these rooms have a coffee facility, mini fridge and
microwave.
- We can also provide a braai should you wish to braai a bit of meat while
enjoying the beautiful sunsets - however no cutlery or crockery is provided.
Although these rooms do not have cooking facilities, you can enjoy a
scrumptious meal in our restaurant.
Dining: The lodge also houses a cosy restaurant where a romantic
dinner can be enjoyed or a special occasion be celebrated.
Pub: The lodge has a small pub at the main swimming pool, where a variety
of alcoholic beverages is available.
Entertainment: there is a comfortable lounge with DSTV on the big screen
and at the pub there are pool tables, darts and soccer games. There is a
children's playground with trampolines and volleyball court. The lodge has a
nine-hole putt-putt course to be enjoyed by the whole family. Game drives and
excursions to Bambelela Wildlife Care and Thaba Kwena Crocodile farm can be
arranged at your convenience.
Swimming pool area: there are two large pools in the main complex and a
smaller heated pool adjacent to the chalets at the back.
Conference facilities: The lodge offers executive and corporate groups
the most up to date conference facilities. Its equipment and services ensure
that every conference is held successfully - even satisfying the most fastidious
delegate. The conference room is fully equipped with audio and visual equipment,
thereby providing delegates with the technology to present corporate
presentations, videos or interactive cd's/DVD's.
The conference room can be accommodated to include the following styles, most
suited to your needs:
- The schoolroom style which seats a maximum of 180 delegates.
- Cinema style which seats a maximum of 350 delegates.
- U-shape style which seats a maximum of 90 delegates.
The lodge also provides the necessary refreshments and conference stationary
packages to ensure that the event is run efficiently as possible.
If your conference is in need of team-building, it can be arranged.
Functions: Bela Bela Lodge is the perfect venue to celebrate special
functions ranging from weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, a
valentine ball, and masked winter balls to year end functions. A theme can be
arranged to suit each individual function on request.
