To complement Umvoti Beach House, which has had a following of faithful
guests for last past 30 years, we now present Umvoti Bay House.
Spacious in the old manner, sleeping ten comfortably (we can bring in a few
extra beds), the house overlooks the Umvoti River Mouth and the sweep of the
bay, one of the finest sea views in the country.
Accomodation consists of 5 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms each with shower and
bath, 1 guest loo. Large farmstyle kitchen with hatch opening to stunning
verandah where you will eat most of your meals looking through the gate to the
sea. Dining room, living room with TV (bring your own card) Family room, quiet
reading room Kitchen has 1 electric stove and a small gas stove, 3 fridges
and 1 deepfreeze
The 11 hectare property is situated down 5 km of dirt road, 20 minutes from
Ballito with all it’s amenities, this is a holiday venue for the family that
enjoys ‘getting away from it all’
Together with the Beach House, the two houses (each sleeping ten in comfort)
create a useful block of accommodation for:
Small Conferences
An interesting venue for small companies wanting a casual conference venue mid
week. There are no outside distractions - your delegates can walk on the beach,
birdwatch in the forest, and bond around a braai fire in the evening. There is
space and privacy for you to organize your own team building events. Plenty of
reception rooms to do your work.
Casual Weddings
Brides and their photographers adore the fabulous beach sunrises, gnarled
milkwood trees, post and rail fences, and old farm buildings; all of which make
for wedding albums to dream about. It is a perfect venue for small weddings, and
there are now two marquee sites to choose from. Hire a marquee and caterer, and
have the bride and groom's family each stay in their own house, so the groom
does not get to see the bride on her wedding day.
Family Holidays
The two houses have a capacity of about 18-22 people, making it an ideal
gathering place for families from all over the world. Lovely rock pools for kids
to bucket and spade, long stretches of empty beach, rock fishing and mussel
gathering is possible with appropriate licences. Bring your paddle ski. This is
a quiet place, bring your books and your jigsaws. We do have a TV set in each
house, where you can bring your own DSTV card for those sporting men, or Cartoon
Network!
Children can ride their bikes around the 11 hectares, and there is a rustic
tennis court if you wish to bring racquets and balls.
