Avian Leisure has a magnificent location, at the top of Froggy Farm in Simon's Town. It overlooks False Bay and is set amidst pristine Cape Fynbos - this means you can see whales, fur seals, penguins, sunbirds, sugarbirds and a host of other birds right from your bedroom! An added delight is the regular night-time view of porcupines coming to the garden pond!

Avian Leisure's location in Cape Town makes it the perfect base from which to explore the delights of the Western Cape, from Cape Point to the Cape Winelands. Simon's Town itself is a charming and historic village offering warm hospitality and a relaxed atmosphere. There are a variety of good restaurants and shops in and around the village, safe, sheltered bathing beaches on the warm water side of the Peninsula and access to a myriad of activities, experiences and sights. It is perfectly located for Cape Peninsula birding trips, pelagic birding trips, shark trips, whale watching trips, kayaking with the penguins, hiking in Cape Point Nature Reserve, or just enjoying the natural beauty of Table Mountain's National Park.
Over and above all this, there are the simple pleasures of waking to a spectacular sunrise over False Bay and watching a full moon, slowly emerge and rise up over the bay

There are two spacious and modern apartments, both with their own private entrances and off road parking. Shearwater, with its unrestricted and fabulous sea views, sleeps four adults comfortably. There is a large open plan living room with a self-contained kitchen, dining and sitting areas, a large sea-facing master bedroom and a second bedroom, both with twin beds, and two bathrooms, one with shower and one with bath and shower. Both living room and master bedroom face onto a large wooden deck with views in all directions.

Watsonia is a one bedroomed suite with twin beds, a bathroom with large shower and a light and airy living room with a small, but well equipped kitchenette that has a fridge, microwave, hob, crockery and cooking equipment. There is no patio and no direct sea view but it does have access to the garden, and provides an excellent base for couples and singles wishing to explore the area.

Linen is white percale linen. The apartments are serviced twice a week.
