Peninsula and within 5 minutes drive of the oldest wine farm in South Africa,
Groot Constantia Wine Estate.
All our fully equipped self catering suites, are situated in a beautiful 1 acre
garden that has been featured on BBC TVs Gardeners World program.
We offer free 24/7 broadband Internet (including Skype and wireless
connection to all units) Library, tourist brochure information, secure off
street parking, a fence protected swimming pool, laundry and private entrances
and patios with table and chairs and individual BBQ facilities.
Satellite DSTV, Dvds, Music centres, Bedside clock radios, Wall safe
and Ceiling fans and wall panel heaters.
Bergvliet's main attraction, for a visitor to Cape Town, is its quietness,
relaxed atmosphere, peacefulness, and with no traffic or crime problems, within
the neighbourhood. Plus the quick and easy access to the M3, and M5 motor ways,
which brings you into the City Centre and Waterfront, as well as leading to all
the major local attractions and beaches, in only 15 - 40 minutes.
Ascot Gardens is therefore an ideal base for your sight seeing and touring
around Cape Town and surrounding areas .We are also only a 10 minute walk
from the Train Station, Shopping centre and 6 good local restaurants.
Our 3 Star Grading accreditation received from the Tourist Grading Council
of South Africa, is your guarantee that our self catering accommodation units
are of an internationally accepted standard.
We supply all bed linen and bath towels and all utensils and crockery, plus
ironing board and iron in each suite, plus garbage bags, toilet rolls and
dish washing liquid.
Each separate private entrance and allocated secure off street parking bay is
accessed via a remote controlled security gate.
Available for guests shared use, is a child safe fenced swimming pool, sun
lounges, Laundry, Library with tourist information brochures. Free use of 2 computers with Skype in library plus wireless
internet connection to all suites.
We do not have any dogs or cats or noisy children of our own disturbing your
quiet and peaceful garden surroundings.
The entire Ascot Gardens property consists of 4 internally connected free
standing houses tastefully altered and renovated to provide self-catering
cottages/garden suites/apartments of various size, price and furnishings.
The 10 self-catering one-bedroom cottages/garden suites, one two-bed roomed
house, and one 3- bed roomed, 2 bath room house, are ideal for
holidays, business, wedding guests, sport groups, family celebrations and
visiting friends or relatives.
The suites can be booked individually or combined for larger families or occupy
an entire house sleeping up to 14 persons, if required.
Houses are all situated in a beautiful 1 acre garden which has been featured on
BBC TVs Gardeners World. The garden has magnificent plants, trees and shrubs,
stunning water features and has colour all year round and is home to a variety
of birds, squirrels, fish and frogs.
The Airport, V&A Waterfront, City Centre and Table Mountain are 20 minutes drive
away and the 7 Constantia Wine farms, including Groot Constantia , only 5
minutes away. Within walking distance is a train station, bus stop, shopping
centre and 6 excellent local restaurant, churches and 2 tennis and bowls clubs.
Facilities
All apartments are fully furnished with either bath or shower en suite
and equipped with stove or hot plate, microwave, fridge, pots, kettle, toaster,
pans, crockery, glassware, cooking utensils, cutlery, kitchen towels, bedding,
bath towels (not swimming towels), iron and ironing board. The apartments have
ceiling fans in all bedrooms and lounges. Wall panel heaters. The units are not serviced daily and
for long stays the units are serviced and the bed linen and bath towels changed
every 7 days. We supply dish clothes, dish washing liquid, toilet rolls and
garbage bags.
There are 2 single beds in all bedrooms except for the Duke, Queen, Royal,
African Suites and main bedroom of 2/3 Bedroom House which all have queen beds
and the Duchess which has a double bed.
