Welcome to Aquila No 1, Zinkwazi Beach, one of the loveliest and safest
(shark net protected) beaches on the KwaZulu-Natal coast where you can chose to
laze, swim, surf, fish, jet ski, at the beach or the lagoon. We trust you will
enjoy your holiday in this home from home.
Aquila No 1 offers four bedrooms: on the first floor you will find the Sunshine
Suite with its own verandah, king-size bed, dressing room and full bathroom en
suite and the Ocean Room with two single beds and its own full bathroom across
the corridor. Here, too, is our wooden deck with its magnificent views of the
ocean, the lagoon and rolling sugar cane fields interspersed with natural bush.
On the ground floor you will find the Africa Suite with two three-quarter beds,
small wardrobe and bathroom (shower only) en suite. As you come into the
apartment you will see the fourth bedroom opening onto the patio offering a
double bed, small wardrobe and bathroom (shower only) en suite.
Our amenities offer a spacious sitting room, DSTV - bring your own sim card
and/or decoder. There is a dining room and open plan kitchen fitted for eight
guests, leading into the scullery which is fitted with a washing machine and
dishwasher. The apartment may be serviced on request.
Access to Aquila is behind a security gate with parking for three cars at its
own entrance. We have a large terrace on the sea side of the unit with two areas
under shade to escape the midday heat, a stainless steel braai and, of course,
the sound of the sea.
We do not provide beach towels and ask that you do not take our towels to the
beach.
The weather will be hot, humid and perhaps a bit wet, but the local amenities -
skiboat club right on the beach, Raffia restaurant at the caravan park and the
Darnall Country Club a little inland with its 9-hole golf course, tennis and
squash courts - offer plenty to keep you busy. Princes Grant some 20 kms away
offers an 18-hole golf links.
Eshowe with its wonderful board walk high up in the trees is close by and
Lifestyle Centre at Ballito, some 35 kms away, offers excellent shopping
opportunities and family restaurants - if you can't find what you want in
Stanger (KwaDukuza, home of King Shaka) just 22 kms away. The world class Sibaya
Entertainment Centre, some 50 kms from Aquila No 1, with its casino, restaurants
and theatre, may well be worth a visit on a rainy day and the popular Umhlanga
beaches, Gateway Theatre of Shopping, cinemas, etc, are only 75 km away on a
