beach/surfing lifestyle in comfortable, fully equipped self catering units on
the beach at Ansteys. Owned and run by a surfing family and helpful staff who
live on the premises, you are guaranteed of a great holiday atmosphere in a
friendly environment. It's no surprise then that a lot of our guests return time
and time again for some more much deserved Rest and Relaxation!
Set in a tropical garden in a quiet cul-de-sac just up from the beach you will
find a swimming pool and large thatched barbeque area. One can opt to just relax
and lie on the beach or by the poolside with a good book (relaxing and chilling
out is a serious pastime here at Ansteys!), or if you are feeling a bit more
energetic - challenge your friends to a game of pool, table tennis or darts,
book a get-up-and-go surf lesson with Rudy or go on a beach horse ride. We have
a travel info desk and will go out of our way to help, should you perhaps feel
the urge to go on one of the many fantastic coastal or inland day trips.
There is a pub/restaurant on the beach & shopping centres are all within walking
distance with the major shopping centres like Pavillion, Gateway and Westwood
all within a 15-30 minute drive away. Should you not feel like cooking, there
are many fast food places that deliver to Ansteys, as well as a Mr Delivery
service. Or do what most guests do a lot - have a leisurely braai at the
poolside!
We are a quick 10-15 drive from the ICC, Durban Central, uShaka Marine World or
Durban International Airport and are close to the Jacobs/Mobeni Industrial area.
The beautiful unspoilt Bluff beaches are very popular for leisurely strolls,
especially at low tide when one can check out all the sea life in the rock
pools. Or get up early and witness the most spectacular sunrises armed with a
steaming cup of coffee or tea to start the day ...
