Anna's Farm guesthouse (close to the N2 between
Heidelberg on the
Malgas road) is the place to be...... Come and enjoy a peaceful time on our
grain, sheep and dairy farm.
Arno is called the "braai meester" and socializer. Anna is the baker, coffee
maker and the money taker.
Feeding the farm animals, drinking fresh milk from "Mamma" cow in the milking
parlor, and Arno's knowledge of the area, make the personalized farm tour an
unforgettable experience.
The old majestic farmhouse was built in 1937.
Charming bedrooms with antiques, fresh flowers, tea tray and sherry (on the
house) is a peaceful haven to return to after visiting places of interest in the
vicinity. A perfect stay for a family or a group.
Enjoy traditional home-cooked meals in the family dining room in the company of
your hosts.
To sip a glass of good South-African wine at the fireplace or on the big veranda
while watching the sweeping views of farmlands, birds, animals and the Langeberg
Mountains, is farm life at its best.
In the immediate surroundings, Blue Crain and ostrich lovers will have an
excellent opportunity to take nature photographs of these lovely bird species.
You will also get the change to watch the local birds in their own habitat.
Heidelberg is also becoming as famous as
Oudtshoorn for ostrich breeding.
Anna's Farm stay is an excellent base from which to explore the hidden
Wonders of the Garden Route.
Swellendam (46 km), the historic third oldest town in South Africa, nestled
against the Langeberg Mountains.
Malgas (20 km) with the last, still daily operating, hand-driven pontoon in
South Africa, is found at Malgas on the Breede River. This nostalgic trip takes
you back to bygone times.
Witsand (30 km) with its superb beach, is situated at the mouth of the mighty
Breede Rivier and is also well known as the "Southern Right Whale Nursery of
South Africa." The activities of the whale nursery, can be watched from the
beach during June until November.
De Hoop Nature Reserve (50
km) with hundreds of migrating birds visiting De Hoopvlei every year. Diverse
fynbos vegetation, dunes, Bontebok and endangered mountain zebra are also
opportunities to explore.
Route 62 (50 km), the world’s longest wine route, with famous wine estates is
not to be missed. (

Heidelberg (30 km), named after the German City of Heidelberg, has a treasure of
beautiful old buildings of historical heritage, including a Church in Gothic
architecture and a nine-hole golf course.
Anna's Farm Guesthouse is halfway between Cape Town and
Knysna.

wash-basin too).
- One bedroom with two single beds - "called Children's room" half-price -
must share facilities with parents.

- Open veranda for viewing.
- Bird watching in Blue Crane country.
