Angela's Guest Lodge is a self catering Guesthouse Lodge situated in the Gariep Dam Holiday Village.
Gariep Dam Village was voted "South Africa's tourist town of the year in 2010"
and is situated approximately halfway between Cape Town and Johannesburg, and
only a couple of minutes off the main N1 Highway, 44 km's North of Colesberg.
Angela's Guest Lodge is ideally suited for the weary traveler wanting to break
their long and tiresome journey or alternatively for the guest who wants to
spend some extra days enjoying all that the Karoo and Gariep Dam area has to
offer. At night listen to the quietness, look up at the billions of bright shiny
stars, try to spot the moving satellites and just know that you are in a truly
unique and beautiful place.
Gariep Dam, appropriately named "Lake Gariep" is South Africa's largest inland
lake. It is home to a wide variety of birds and has two surrounding game
reserves leading onto the banks of the lake.
The village has a selection of restaurants, café's, supermarkets and bottle
stores. 24 hour Shell garage with ATM. Lots to see and lots to do in this
stunning little holiday village.
Lake Gariep also a fisherman's dream with plenty of spots to fish, simply
disappear to one of the remote areas and cast a line into the water, you will be
well rewarded.
Here at Angela's Guest Lodge you can unwind in a brand new modern and well
furnished guest house unit.
The Lodge is divided into three very unique units, each unit has its very own Lapa with its own stainless steel private braai and garden furniture. All units
are brand new with modern and tastefully decorated with black leather and
mahogany furniture.
Secure undercover parking for your vehicles and trailer, safe and secure and
away from the hustle and bustle of the fast city life.
Albatros Lodge (sleeps 2) Theme of the unit is blue, white and black
This is a unit consisting of a single bedroom with a factory-direct double bed
and "ice white" brand new linen and has a full inter leading on-suite bathroom.
Albatros has a very unique and private "kraal" type outdoor entertainment area
straight outside the front door consisting of a romantic entrance arch under
lush foliage. Within the area is situated the private lapa and braai area.
Albatros is sub divided by a tasteful mini-kitchenette with full self catering
equipment, fridge, cooking and cleaning.
The unit has a modern 40" Samsung Full HD TV and 2 modern black leather
recliners.
Large double sleeper couch, for an extra guest, with tasteful coffee table and
pictures.
Flamingo Lodge (sleeps 4) Theme of the unit is orange, white and black
Flamingo is a two bedroom unit, both bedrooms have brand new "factory-direct"
single beds with "ice white" linen.
There is a full separate modern spacious bathroom that services this unit,
consisting of a shower, toilet and basin.
Flamingo has a small, but fully equipped kitchenette with all the luxuries that
you need for a self catering stay.
A large separate lounge and dining room features a black leather lounge suite, a
Mahogony 6 seater dining room table and chairs. Also in the lounge is a modern
double sleeper couch for the extra guest, if required. Large free standing TV.
Flamingo lodge is true luxury and is tastefully decorated. Outside lapa and
braai with table and chairs on a stunning garden stoep.
Loerie Lodge (sleeps 2) Theme of the unit is green, white and black
Lourie is also known as our "honeymoon unit" and consists of a single large area
with a double bed and inter leading on-suite shower and toilet. Large Mahogany
dressing table finishes off the bedroom tastefully.
A well equipped kitchenette separates the bedroom from the lounge. This
kitchenette has all the modern luxury new self catering equipment that one would
need for a self catering stay including a fridge and modern cooking facility.
The lounge consists of a black leather lounge suite as well as a comfy recliner
and black Mahogany coffee table. There is also a black leather modern double
sleeper couch in the lounge for the unexpected extra guest.
Very own lapa with braai area next to lawn and overlooking a "fyn tuin" garden
Full HD flat screen 40" Samsung TV on modern TV unit decorates the lounge. This
unit has a stunning aura of light that shines through the cottage pane front
window that gives the unit an unusually lovely glow. This is truly a "happy
unit"
