Santorini also known as "The Jewel of the Dolphin Coast" is without peer in the area. Its designer set out to capture the ambiance of its Greek island namesake and was so successful that he won an award for his creation. The laid back holiday atmosphere pervades as soon as one enters the gates. Without the expense of an overseas trip one can can enjoy sun, sea, sand and immaculately maintained white villas, just 30mins from Durban, on the North Coast of Natal. Most importantly, more than 50% of Santorini has been left as natural coastal bush. An idyllic setting with all the magic of Africa on hand! Several nature trails run through the complex.

Santorini comprises 6 "villages" of which Akrotiri is one, each with its own swimming pool. The development offers direct access to two beaches through secured access gates - Thompson’s Bay main swimming beach with its lifeguards and tidal pool and the semi-private beach aka “Perissa” with its beautiful cliffs and rock pools. The walk to gain access to the beaches is a beautiful one through the Santorini complex. However, for those that find the walk back up to Akrotiri from the beach access gates too strenuous as it is an uphill one with stairs, then there is the option to drive to the Thompson’s beach access gate at the tennis court - all still within the Santorini complex, which offers secured parking. Santorini also offers its own secure communal braai facilities with exclusive ablution blocks at the Thompson’s Bay beach access gate. There is also a tennis court, a jungle gym for the children and a dedicated trailer park.
We request that guests comply with the law and smoke only in outside areas.
The Dolphin Coast boasts an exciting blend of golden beaches and rock pools for safe bathing, surfing and scuba diving, rock and skiboat fishing, or just relaxing on the beach.
There are also modern shopping centres, many supermarkets and dozens of restaurants from fine dining to take-away. In addition it is a 20 minute drive to Gateway Shopping centre where one can comfortably while away a rainy day. The Hluhluwe-Mfolozi Game reserve is just a 2 hour drive away and can easily be visited on a day trip.
