Horse Magic In The Midlands - your very own self-discovery adventure.

Perhaps you love horses and would like to ride...but would prefer to learn at your own pace? Perhaps you would like a bit of fun? Are you thinking of corporate team-building? Haycroft's Horse Magic Day Programme is an truly motivating and inspiring experience.

Haycroft Welsh Cob & Sport Horse Stud is well situated in the Natal Midlands, from the N3 only 6 km's from Howick and Midmar. Breathtaking views, majestic horses and the opportunity for self-discovery is what "Magic with Horses" is all about.

We would like to introduce you to a new concept, a "day programme" where horses are not only used for riding purposes but to encourage the awakening of our true potential in life. Research has now been documented showing that horses dramatically reduce the stress levels in one's body and being calm and centered opens the channels for intuition to speak. This unique horse experience helps us strengthen our own relationships as we discover within ourselves the qualities of thoughtfulness, perceptiveness, sensitivity and quiet strength.

Haycroft offer a unique learning experience where you learn how to talk to horses in their own language and master ground skills before getting into the saddle. Even if you have never ridden or even been around horses much, you will find the "Horse Magic Day programme" unforgettable.

The day begins at 9.00 am in the main arena at Haycroft. The programme includes an introductory talk and questionnaire, lessons on basic horsemanship and then Andrea (horse facilitator) will help you to select the horse you most want to be with for the day. Bonding with the right horse plays a big part in being able to ride successfully, so at Haycroft we help you choose a riding horse that will take you from ground work to positive riding in the saddle. We end the day with a lovely ride through the enchanting forests and up on the hills with stunning views of the Drakensberg in the distance. The programme finishes off at about 4 pm and remember you don't have to have any horse experience to take part in this programme - we will adapt to suit you!!

"This is a day of pure, rare joy! Horse and human interaction where you talk, walk, whisper, ride and join with horses. It's a great feeling when your horse invites you into his world!" says Farrell Burnett, "Haycroft is such a fantastic place to be, I'll be back!."

The "Horse Magic" Day Programme is ideal for people of all ages from all walks of life, great for team-building for corporate teams or school children as a motivating, character building exercise.

Haycroft's Horse Magic Day Programme facilitators and instructors include Gillian Borros, Andrea Kittle and Allan Makawara. Gillian Borros is the owner of Haycroft and runs her own arts and communication company. Gill is a fan of horse gentling and will introduce this core concept. Gill is excited about the positive results from the "horse magic" programme, "It is so rewarding to offer such a unique programme where ordinary people can get in touch with nature and their deepest longings and feel the freedom that horses introduce. Our participants take away so much!" Andrea Kittle started riding horses at a young age and is an accomplished rider, competitor and instructor of children and adults. Allan Makawara is our head horse handler
in charge of foaling and imprinting.
