Hakuna Matata Charters is based in Durban, South Africa and is proud to be
the leading charter boat company. We boast two of the most luxurious 58 foot
catamarans, 'My Girl' and 'My Girl Too'.
'My Girl' was launched on 7th December 2007 and 'My Girl Too' on the 16th
October 2008, and have since been providing countless sea-farer's with memorable
experiences out to sea whether it’s been for corporate events, weddings,
birthday parties, school outings, sunset cruises or fishing charters.
Both Vessels carry 60 passengers. 'My Girl' offers: playstation3, music system
and PA system. She offers 4 cabins that can accommodate 8 people sharing and
each have a television and DVD player. There are two bathrooms that comprise of
a shower and toilet with basin each. The kitchen consists of a four plate
electric stove, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. 'My Girl Too' has two toilets
on board with music and PA system as well as an outside bar area.
'My Girl' and 'My Girl Too' both go through SAMSA (South African Maritime Safety
Association) inspections once a year and carry fully approved safety equipment.
'My Girl' is powered by 2x 315 Yanmar turbo motors and her wave piercing hull
can reach speeds of between 26 and 30 knots and 'My Girl Too' is powered by 2x
125 turbo motors.
'My Girl' and 'My Girl Too' are definitely Durban’s number one party boats due
to their huge aft decks which can accommodate your own party setup.
Public Cruises
Every Saturday and Sunday as well as all public holidays starting from 10am.
1 hour Sea Cruise
The deep sea public cruise is ideal for a fun filled hour for the whole family
young and old. We head out to sea via the harbour channel, where you will be
delighted by the view of of Durban and Moses Mabhida Stadium. Picnic baskets are
permitted.
Normal Price: R 160 per adult (over 12 yrs old) - Special Price: R 120 per adult
Normal Price: R 80 per child (under 12 yrs old) - Special Price: R 60 per child
90 min Sunset Sea Cruise
The sunset sea cruise is ideal for couples or the whole family. Relax as we head
out to sea via the harbour channel and have a sun-downer while watching the sun
go down over Durban and Moses Mabhida Stadium. We set sail daily at aprox 17H00.

1/2 hour Harbour Cruise
This is for the fainter at heart whereby we travel around our harbour and you
are able to get a view of many of the ships that come in and out of our port.
Normal Price: R 80 per adult (over 12 yrs old) - Special Price: R 60 per adult
Normal Price: R 40 per child (under 12 yrs old) - Special Price: R 30.00 per

All private functions are R 4000 per hour for 60 people with a minimum of 2
hours - Special Price: R 3000 per hour
If you request to remain at the dock for a period before or after the cruise a
docking fee of R 1500 per hour is charged.
We do allow for 20 minutes before your charter and 20 minutes after your charter
for your convenience.
Fishing Charters - (My Girl)
We offer deep sea fishing charters whereby you can choose if you would prefer to
do bottom fishing (reds, rockhards, Englishmen and soldiers ect.) or game
fishing (dorado, sailfish, marlin and cuta ect.)
‘My Girl’ is fully rigged for Big game fishing and we only carry top quality
fishing equipment. All bait, tackle and rods are supplied but you will need to
bring your own fishing licence.
Normal Price: 8 hours for 10 people R 10,000 - Special Price: R 7500
Fishing Charters - (It's a Sizer)
We offer deep sea fishing charters whereby you can choose if you would prefer to
do bottom fishing (reds, rockhards, Englishmen and soldiers ect.) or game
fishing (dorado, sailfish, marlin and cuta ect.)
'It's a Sizer' is fully rigged for Big game fishing and we only carry top
quality fishing equipment. All bait, tackle and rods are supplied but you will
need to bring your own fishing licence.
Normal Price: R 600 per hour with a minimum of 3 hours for 4 people - Special
Price: R 450 per hour
School Specials
Please Note: In order to qualify for the below rate you will need 40 scholars or
more.
Education Tour 30 minutes:
Normal Price: Scholars / Teachers R 40 each - Special Price: R 30 each
1 hour Deep Sea Cruise:
Normal Price: Scholars / Teachers R 80 each - Special Price: R 60 each
