GO GREEN ECO ADVENTURES
Cycling / Mountain Biking in Bergville
Drakensberg, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

Go Green Eco Adventures is a small, owner operated adventure company, offering a variety of outdoor adventure activities, that are all powered by human steam - no polluting engines allowed!

Based in the beautiful wooded savanna and farmlands of the Bergville / Winterton area in KZN, you are never far from the iconic Central or Northern Drakensberg peaks. You will also tread where soldiers of the Anglo Boer War fought battles over a century ago. During your adventure you will often have herds of inquisitive game as spectators. Hand picked Eco-friendly accommodation provides the base for fully supported and guided adventures.

For the mountain bikers there are numerous sweeping single track descents and paddlers can enjoy the exciting rapids and picturesque pools of the Tugela River. The never ending local cattle and game paths and the World Heritage Site of uKhathlamba -Drakensberg Park, provide hikers and trail runners with all they could wish for.

Go Green is the way to go for a one stop adventure shop. We cater for all group sizes and interests. Perhaps you are a small family, looking for friendly accommodation, spectacular scenery and tasty meals. Or a corporate group on a team building exercise. Or a large school group on multi-day outdoor education journey - we do it all!

Go Green Eco Adventures is owned and run by Lee Fuller. Lee is a specialist guide leading photographic safaris into Africa and Madagascar, and also has a guide training business. Having lived and guided all over Africa he is now based near Winterton, with his wife Claire. Both Lee and Claire love traveling and enjoy pursuing their passions of mountain biking, paddling, trail running, hiking, and photography.

Spoil yourself at the award winning Three Tree Hill Lodge

"School Group Adventures"

More and more schools are looking outdoors to compliment the education that pupils receive in the classroom. These journeys or adventures expose kids to the good old fashioned values of getting outside, learning about themselves and the environment, and leadership.

Kids are immersed into the natural environment, where they are tested, both mentally and physically. They learn the bush skills of survival, tracking, orientation and navigation and acquire life skills like planning, leadership, decision making and group dynamics, and they have heaps of fun!!

We cater for groups of all sizes and kids of all ages, and can supply guides, boats, bikes, tents and all the onsite logistics.

"Wilderness Skills Courses"

The newest activities at Go Green are the popular Wilderness Skills weekends and holiday adventures for kids. Designed to get kids outside during their school holidays or weekends, we will take youngsters off into the bush, where, with kids of a similar age, we will explore, learn, and have fun!

During an action packed itinerary we will teach kids the basics of selecting and putting up camp. They will also learn how to stay safe, warm and dry, whilst exploring the surrounds for interesting animal tracks and signs, and learn to ID plants, animals, insects and birds.

The bushcraft skills of survival in the wild include, amoungst others, making fire with sticks, making bird traps and collecting and purifying water. Kids will also learn about map reading, orientation and navigation. We will also teach them campfire cooking skills, to ensure bellies are kept full in camp!

More advanced courses will include basic First Aid and CPR as well as lifesaving.
