Join qualified Horticulturist Elaine Skidmore on one of her magical and awe-inspiring Eco-tours in the Western Cape

The tours on offer include day and overnight tours and include the following, amongst others: nature walks, Botanical Garden tours, guided birding tours and hikes in a number of our wonderful Nature Reserves. Overnight Safari tours to Game reserves in the Eastern Cape and along the Garden Route have recently been included in the list of itineraries on offer.

Learn about our magnificent Fynbos by visiting one of our Biodiversity hotspots, the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Palmiet river while marvelling at the surrounding magestic mountains. Stop for a picnic lunch after enjoying a swim.

Join us on a tour to the largest remnant of Afro-montane forest closest to Cape Town situated at Grootvadersbos Nature Reserve near Heidelberg. After viewing the magnificent trees from the birdhides take a leisurely walk to view the wonderous fragrant pink Erica spp. amongst the rest of the Fynbos.

Twitchers and birders alike can choose from a number of itineraries to view our Fynbos special birds including the Cape Rockjumpers and Cape Siskin, amongst others. Let our specialist bird guides share their enthusiasm for our wonderful bird life.

All tours are undertaken from our sustainable cabins, Fijnbosch Cabins situated in the Winelands of Stellenbosch. These cabins include solar heating and water-saving devices and are built of sustainable materials. Here you can listen to the Fish Eagles overhead while relaxing in the Eco-Reserve and enjoying its special healing quality. Various treatments are available on request in the luxury safari-style tent.
