Eden Adventures specialises in outdoor adventure tours in the Wilderness
area, as well as team building activities and tailor-made tours of the Garden
Route. We have offices in the Wilderness National Park, right in the heart of
the Wilderness.
We have been running a professional tour operation since early 1997 and with
over 10 years of experience we can show you the best that the area has to offer.
Our main tours include canoeing, kloofing and abseiling, but for those who would
like to explore the area in their own time, Eden Adventures has an affordable
range of canoes for hire.
Canoeing:
The unique river system of the Wilderness National Park is fantastic for placid
water canoeing. The most popular route is to pack a picnic and some swimming
gear and head to the Touw River Waterfall. After about 40 minutes of canoeing
and 40 minutes of walking on a stunning new boardwalk you will reach the
waterfall. Relax, swim, picnic and return via the same way. As an added bonus
there is an abundance of birdlife in the Wilderness and this makes birding ideal
from the canoes.
There are also a couple of other options. One is through the winding Serpentine
marshlands to Island Lake and the other is down river towards the mouth of the
Touw River.
Abseiling:
Also in the Wilderness one can find an amazing abseil next to the Swart River
Waterfall. 45m of sobering abseiling within arms reach of a waterfall!
What makes this sight special is that you land in a canoe at the bottom!
Kloofing:
In summer there is the Cappuccino Canyon Kloofing Tour. The deep pools with
towering cliffs offer spectacular scenery and an amazing introduction to
kloofing. Swim through the dark waters of a stunning canyon and stop at regular
intervals to try one of the optional jumps off the cliffs into the rock pools.
