Planning your safari through Africa’s greatest reserve
Discover the Kruger National Park without the hassles of navigating your way
around this 2 million hectare reserve. We offer a variety of open safari vehicle
drives to suit everyone’s taste. We are located at Komatipoort and are
predominately covering the southern parts of the Park, however specialized
drives to other areas in Kruger are available.
DRIVE OPTIONS:
Three hour drive: This drive would make its way through the grasslands
and thickets of the area around Crocodile Bridge and Lower Sabie. During this
time you would have a good chance to see lion, buffalo, elephant, white rhino,
giraffe, zebra, warthog, kudu and on rare occasions it is possible to see
leopard, cheetah and hyena.
Four hour drive: The same as the 3 hour drive but with an extended drive
through the very open grasslands above Lower Sabie. This drive is excellent for
viewing elephants, buffalo, white rhino, cheetah and ostriches. We will stop for
a refreshment break at one of Kruger’s picnic spots during this drive.
Half day drive: This will cover a more extensive part of the southern
Park and will include a refreshment break at picnic sites such as Afsaal and
Nkulu. This longer drive increases our chances to see such special sightings as
wild dog and black rhino.
Full day drive: This is a more flexible drive and we try to see as much
as possible by incorporating different habitats. We will stop at various picnic
sites for refreshment breaks and there will be an extended lunch stop at one of
Kruger’s main camps. Lunch is for your own account.
Drives are conducted in a luxury 10 seater open gameviewer which allows a
panoramic view of the surrounding bushveld. The gameviewer is based at Elephant
Walk Retreat next to Crocodile Bridge gate and this lodge is the perfect base to
explore the southern parts of Kruger.
