Underground Tours:
Tourists are transported 763 meters underground into the depths of the world
famous Cullinan Diamond Mine. Whilst underground visitors can expect to see the
main workshops, and administration offices. The repair workshop where the Granby
locos are repaired. The tipping of diamond bearing kimberlite will also be seen
.
Diamond Mine Safari:
The Diamond Safari tour is an exciting trip through the Cullinan Diamond Mine. A
Safari vehicle with a site guide will take visitors through the surface area of
the Cullinan Diamond Mine. Visitors will be taken through the Working plant and
then onto the mine dumps, these waste dumps consist of 350 million tons of
ground witch have been excavated from the mine since 1903 .
Historical Tram Tour:
The village of Cullinan has many fine buildings witch have survived from the
early days of the Mine. Take a tranquil ride through the village on a vintage
tram pulled by an equally old tractor and see these old buildings. Some of the
famous buildings that will be seen are, McHardy House Museum, The Recreation
Centre built in 1912, The 1909 Masonic Hall, and the beautiful Herbert Baker
Anglican Church.
