Africharters would like to extend and invitation for you to take part in one
of our awesome fishing or sightseeing trips.
We are one of the leading fishing and sightseeing charters in Cape Town, South
Africa. Situated in Hout Bay, surrounded by wine farms and enclosed by beautiful
mountains, we offer our clients a once in a lifetime experience.
Be it feeling the pull of a 100kg tuna on the end of your line or viewing our
magnificent coastline on one of our scenic cruises.
Our Cape waters are home to species such as the Cape Snoek, Kob, Yellowfin Tuna,
Longfin Tuna, Yellowtail, Dorado, Mako Shark, Blue Shark and many other species.
All of these are targeted on either our inshore or offshore fishing trips. Apart
from the fish species you will have the opportunity to view dolphins, whales,
seals and many coastal and pelagic bird species. If we are lucky you may even
have the opportunity to sea the magnificent great white shark giving chase to
its prey.
INSHORE FISHING & FLYFISHING:
Our inshore fishing trips are a great way to spend a day out with family or
friends. We mainly target Yellowtail, Snoek, Cape Salmon, Kob and various reef
species. These fish are awesome fun on light tackle and great fun can be had by
all. Every once in a while the conditions inshore even offer the opportunity to
catch species such as the infamous Longfin and Yellowfin tuna.
Our inshore trips include all tackle, bait, professional guide as well as light
snacks and drinks. Should you wish to book for a large group for birthdays or
corporate team building we have access to 3 boats. We usually depart around 7am
and return around 2pm. If you suffer or think you may suffer from sea sickness
please consult your pharmacist for medication.
OFFSHORE FISHING & FLYFISHING:
Our offshore trips are truly a trip not to be missed. These trips cater for
those who are keen to venture into the deeps to tackle on one of the oceans
strongest fighting fish the Yellowfin tuna. The Yellowfin tuna in our waters are
on average around 50kgs and can reach up to 120kgs.
Along with the Yellowfin tuna we also have the chance of catching species such
as Longfin tuna, Yellowtail, Skip Jack, Dorado, Mako Sharks and Blue Sharks. If
you are really lucky you may even get hooked up to a Marlin, although these are
not often targeted but caught by accident on the trolling lures meant for the
Yellowfin tuna.
Besides the fishing you will also encounter some of the beauties the deep seas
have to offer such as schools of dolphins, whales and the pelagic bird species.
Our offshore trips usually depart around 6 or 7am and return around 4pm. All
bait, tackle, drinks, snacks and a light lunch are included. Should you wish to
book for a large group for birthdays or corporate team building we have access
to 3 boats.

CRAYFISHING:
Our crayfish charter is great fun for the whole family and allows you to view
some of the beautiful coastline the Cape has to offer.
This charter is unfortunately a seasonal due to the regulations regarding
fishing for this species. Once caught you are more than welcome to take your
catch home and enjoy it on the braai with your whole family.
This trip includes all bait, tackle, snacks and drinks.
SIGHTSEEING CRUISES:
Our sightseeing cruises are a great way to view the beautiful coastline the Cape
has to offer. Our trips offer our clients the opportunity to travel out to the
deep trawling grounds to view the marine life from a whole new angle.
It is possible to see thousands upon thousands of pelagic birds as well as
dolphins and whales. We guarantee that this is an unforgettable experience.
If the deep is not for you we offer various coastal cruises viewing places such
as Cape Point, Seal Island, Camps Bay, Clifton, Sea Point, Robben Island and
more. We supply drinks and snacks on these trips as well as any other
requirements you may need.
