Cultural & Shebeen Tour:

This is the real culture experience. You are transported from our Adventure Addicts Guest lodge which is less than 35km North of Pretoria in the Dinokeng area, via taxis to Mandela Village Township in Hammanskraal, where interactive gumboot dancers will welcome you. The aim of the tour is to see and learn more about:

• The culture of people living there
• The different traditions
• The background of the community living there
• To interact with the locals
• To have fun

The Program
There are different programs depending on whether you will enjoy lunch or supper at a local shebeen or a tavern.

• Gumboot dancers welcome the guests into Mandela Village at the famous Mandela Square, they will then visit the following places:
o The famous Mandela Square in Hammanskraal
o The chibuku Travern
o The tin house in Mandela Village
o Maggie’s Shebeen
o The Sangoma’s Place
o The Anglican Church
o The vibrant Khuwana Tavern
o The African Jazz Café
