A'Ankawini Safari Ranch is an eco-friendly establishment on the Mount Langbeen
Ranch Private Game Reserve. The Reserve, sizing 7000 hectares, is the home of
several antelopes, predators, reptiles, birds and insect species.
Although the main lodge is still under construction, Camp Omunguindi, a luxury,
self - catering, semi-permanent tented camp, located at the foot of the Langbeen
Mountain, are already available. The 'Spirit of Africa' atmosphere, peaceful and
with beautiful stars at night time, is where nature and human meet. The name
Omunguindi is the Herero word for Sheperds Tree (Afrikaans: Witgatboom) that is
found around the unit.
Camp Omunguindi sleeps two per luxury tent and two tents are available. Camp Omunguindi is fully equipped for self- catering with its own private deck and
braai facilities. The unit is equipped with 220V solar electricity and a small
energy saving fridge. Ultra energy saving LED lights provide lights in and
around the premises. Everything you need is already there, you only have to bring
yourself, food and drinks, and nothing else is needed.
Mountains, beautiful views, planes in the mixed tree, bush and shrub Savanna and
the harsh variety of wildlife characterize the ranch.
Facilities include hiking, game, - scenic and sundowner tours, bird watching, 4
x 4 routes, self-drive excursions, and a large outdoor swimming pool at the main lodge (still under construction), 3km away. View a
collection of exotic game species on the Ranch. Our guests do day trips to
Windhoek, the Capital and return to the peaceful atmosphere of the Ranch.
Buildings are erected with natural stone, wood, clay bricks and a variety of
recycled materials. Power generation to the entire development is by means of
renewable energy.
Only 76km from the International airport, Hosea Kutaku, and 85km from Windhoek,
this establishment is the ideal place to start or end your Namibia safari. This
