Each well appointed suite leads onto a veranda where a guest can quietly sit, watching birds in our bird filled garden or enjoy the silence, while sipping an ice cold drink from the honesty bar or walk down the steps into the shade of a large oak tree. Perhaps you will be lucky and see a kudu wandering in the Nature Reserve joining the garden.
The property has an air of serene simplicity, the large garden has a swimming pool ideal to cool off on a hot Karoo afternoon. The inviting entertainment lounge and honesty bar is the ideal venue for late night conversations.
While there are many good restaurants in town, braai facilities have been provided for those who just want to sit around a fire in the beautiful Karoo evenings.
Breakfast with home made preserves are served in the breakfast room just off the guest lounge.
Children are welcome to enjoy the play area in the garden under the oak tree, they will also love feeding the carp that swim in the dam just below the veranda.

Graaff-Reinet is a town with a well-preserved and beautifully restored architectural heritage - more national monuments than anywhere else in South Africa. Take a look at the Valley of Desolation - a breathtaking spectacle of precariously balanced dolerite colums. There are over 200 bird species recorded in the area. The town is also surrounded by the Karoo Nature Reserve with a game viewing area.
