This luxury holiday home is situated on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast.
Mtwalume. Mtwalume is about 30km south of Scottsburgh and about 10km north of Hiberdene. The complex itself is surrounded by electric fencing and has a 24-hour security guard service. There is a swimming pool and trampoline in the complex.
The home consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It sleeps six. Two of the bedrooms have double beds while the other room has 2 single beds. Two of the rooms overlook the sea. One of the bathrooms has a shower while the other has a bath.
The home's appliances include a TV, Video/DVD player, DStv decoder (but bring your own DStv Smart Card), washing machine and microwave.
Arguably the best thing about the holiday home is that the sea is 'in-your-face'. The complex is on a hill overlooking the mouth of the Mtwalume River as it forms an estuary and flows into the Indian Ocean. The combination of elevation and close proximity to the sea affords incredible views both up the coast and over the sea. You don't have to drive to see the sea; you can enjoy the view from the comfort of the home.
The beach that the complex overlooks has ablution facilities. Lifeguards are on duty during the holidays. The beach is a 5-minute walk away, there is no need to take food to the beach - one can simply walk home for lunch. There is a large tidal pool that has its own 'beach'. This tidal pool has sea sand on the floor and is well suited for both young and old. There is good fishing off the rocks next to the tidal pool.
There are several top golf courses in the vicinity including Selbourne (15km), Umdoni (15km), Scottsburgh (35km),
Umkomaas (45km) and Post Shepstone (65km).
