Gerrit and Ilsa van Schalkwyk would like to share with you the charming character of The Parsonage built in 1881.Oudtshoorn. The interior takes you back to the days of the ostrich boom.

Although not an ostrich palace, the house was built the same time and size. Come enjoy the yellowwood floors, slash windows and 4 marble fireplaces. Have breakfast where the well-known Reverend George Murray and his family of 16 children were seated around the old big yellowwoodtable, 100 years ago.

You are now in the middle of the historical centre of Oudtshoorn. Historical tours through the old Dutch Reformed Church opposite the street can be arranged with no additional costs. Enjoy a log fire in our cosy guest lounge or electric blankets in winter. Relax in our beautiful rose garden or on the cool balcony in summer.

Four rooms available on the top storey.

The creaky staircase leads you upstairs to the four rooms:

• Main Double Bedroom with en-suite bathroom (shower and bath) and TV, and on the balcony overlooking the front garden.
• Two Double Bedrooms with shower washbasin and toilet inside the room.
• One en-suite bedroom has two threequarter beds
• Garden Cottage: En-suite double bedroom (shower and bath) with TV, fridge and kettle.

Full breakfast included.
