1000 Hills Guest Lodge is situated at
Inanda dam and Durban. With almost 360-degree view of 2600 feet above sea level it is possible to see the snow on the peaks of the Drakensberg as well as the ships anchored out at sea.
We are conveniently situated for the
Comrades marathon, the Duzi canoe race, and cycle races. Thirty minutes drive from Durban, Pietermaritzburg and
Durban International Airport.
Five minutes from
Hillcrest that host shopping centres, banks, etc. and also in close proximity to Chante Clair Hotel and Rob Roy Hotel.
The homestead was built in 1946, with beautiful raised wooden flooring. We offer a relaxed environment with a well-kept garden full of roses, a swimming pool and a fully licensed pub. Guests can enjoy the exquisite views over the valley and Inanda dam. We can accommodate thirteen guests in seven rooms, each individually and tastefully decorated. We serve a typical English breakfast and dinner is also available on request.
The name of
Botha's Hill was derived from
Carolina Botha who opened the Wayside Inn around 1849 on the old wagon route from the old Port Natal (Durban) to the interior to cater for the travellers and wagon drivers. Botha's Hill is known to have one of the healthiest climates in the world.
Cato airfield at

We offer pick-ups from Durban International Airport as well as Pietermaritzburg Airport.
Sight seeing trips of dams and the area by microlight can be arranged.
