10 Marichel is an upmarket penthouse unit with uninterrupted sea views of Thompsons Bay. It has a private gate providing beach access to the 12 units in the complex as well as a communal swimming pool for the tenants. The beach has a large tidal swimming pool and is patrolled by life guards during the season. One is able to walk along the beachfront from Thompson's Bay beach to the next door Willards beach in Ballito.
The unit has 4 en-suite bedrooms, 3 of which have sea views. The main en-suite bedroom has an extra length King size bed, and the bathroom has a large oval bath, shower, bidet and toilet. The second bedroom has an extra length Queen size bed, while the bathroom has a bath and toilet. Bedrooms 3 and 4 each have twin beds, and the bathrooms each have a shower, basin and toilet. The Main and 2nd Bedroom both have aircons and/or a choice of ceiling fan, and in and the remaining 2 bedrooms we have ceiling fans. There is also a mobile cooling unit that can be used in and around the unit. All bedrooms are carpeted with built-in cupboards, pedestals and lamps. Bedlinen and bath towels are provided. Beach towels are provided - one per bed. Other than the bedrooms, the entire unit, including patio has travertine floor tiles.
The scullery is well equipped with a dish washer, washing machine and tumbledrier, and the double sink is fitted with a waste disposal unit and a water filter. All the work tops in the kitchen and scullery are granite, and there is a granite centre island in the kitchen. All appliances are A.E.G. The cupboards are well stocked with crockery, cutlery, pots etc.
As can be seen from the photographs, there are 3 sitting rooms, - T.V. lounge, main lounge and patio lounge located just inside the glass sliding doors leading onto the patio. The T.V. lounge is equipped with full bouquet D.S.T.V.
There are two 8/10 seater dining room tables. A Weber gas braai is provided for purposes of braaing on the patio.
On the sea facing side of the unit, there is a large open patio equipped with a 6 seater round table. In the centre of the table is a large canvas umbrella. 4 loungers are also provided on the patio. Between the patio and the living area are retractable, tinted glass sliding doors which extend the entire width of the unit (10 metres).
The complex is 5/10 minutes drive from the main shopping centres in Ballito, 15 minutes drive from uShaka International airport, and 25 minutes drive from Umhlanga village.

Over Christmas/New Year, we require the following minimum reservations:
To book both Christmas and New Year, minimum booking is 18 days.
If you book for only Christmas, and depart between 26th and 29th December, a minimum two week booking is required.
If you require only New Year, ie arrive between 26th and 29th, a minimum two week booking is required.
